Hair & Make-Up
So, I pretty much never wear make-up, and hardly ever do much with my hair, but obviously I want to look pretty on my wedding day!
Trial #1
Okay, so below are pics from my first trial. Not ideal, but not HORRIBLE either.

Apologies in advance for the blurry pics & ones where I have a bad expression--I tend to blink when taking photos, and often end up with funny half-open eyelids. I tried to take a bunch of photos in different lighting, etc., so that I could get a better idea of how it might look. The ones below are all unedited so you can get a realistic idea of how it looked.
The first pic below is my "inspiration" photo. I have naturally curly hair and imagine big, shiny curls cascading down.
The day of my trial it was POURING rain. I showed up dripping wet. Gross! The hair stylist & make-up artist did their best.
HAIR: so because my hair was wet when I showed up, the hair stylist first had to blow dry my hair. Well, she didn't have a diffuser with her. When my hair is diffused, since it's naturally curly, I usually end up with big spiral ringlets. When it's blown dry, it gets frizzy & straight. So she had her work cut out for her! Basically she ended up using a curling iron to curl ALL of my hair. She said that on my actual wedding day though, she would bring a diffuser and we'd diffuse it, and then she'd just add curls to the straight pieces that needed it.
First we tried it down and then she tried half pinning it up so I could see how that looked. The first 6 pictures of me below show my hair pinned up. The rest of the pictures are after I repinned it at home in a style I more often actually wear my hair in.
MAKE-UP: I NEVER wear make-up. So I totally felt weird getting my make-up done. Although it didn't FEEL bad, since I'm not used to seeing myself in make-up I couldn't really decide whether or not I liked it. When I got home, the first thing FI commented on was that it looked like I had a lot of make-up on. He DID say that I looked pretty, but I used a tissue to dab off some of the eyeshadow & foundation on my forehead and he said I looked better after that. I honestly had no ideas for make-up and told the make-up artist to just do what she thought looked best. She tried a lot of different colors & techniques on me, so it ended up a little more than what I'd probably normally go for. Oh, and normally I curl my eyelashes with a curler, but I forgot, so my eyes look more squinty than usual.
